The systems have been installed and supported in a number of prisons, urgent care centres, out of hours facilities, and hospitals to provide telemedicine consultations without the need for offender patients to leave the prison.

The Rehabilitation Engineering Unit (REU) is based at Morriston Hospital in Swansea. One of the main REU services creates and maintains bespoke wheelchairs and postural support systems for people with disabilities across rural South West Wales.

Multi-User Telehealth Programme in Swansea
As part of a wider pilot run by Swansea Local Health Board and led by the Chronic Conditions team to trial Telehealth, a local residential home was equipped with a multi-user telehealth monitoring device with the aim of establishing the benefits to residents of the home.
